We are delighted to be holding a face to face super study day on 8th March 2023 in London at the DWF "Walkie Talkie" Building, London. The panel of experts will consist of Dr Darren Carr, Dr Ivan Pitman and Julie Jay.
Dr Carr will explore the role of the neuropsychiatrist, helping case managers to understand when and how to seek neuropsychiatry input, and the different sorts of funding options available to support this.
Dr Pitman’s expertise covers the neurological, cognitive and emotional impact of traumatic injury. Dr Pitman's session will assist case managers in understanding the role of the neuropsychologist, how it differs from that of a psychologist or psychiatrist, and the expectations on the place of neuropsychology within a multi-disciplinary team supporting an injured client.
Julie Jay is an occupational therapist and case manager with expertise in neurological and physical injury and disability. She has over 20 years’ experience in the NHS, military, higher education and charitable organisations. This session will explore the role of the case manager working with clients with complex social, physical and psychological presentation, making successful achievement of rehabilitation goals particularly challenging.
