CMSUK Awards 2024 - The "Impossible into Possible" Celebration & Lunch Event

CMSUK are excited and looking forward to this year’s Celebration & Awards Lunch.  The event will applaud the invaluable work that Case Managers and valued industry partners do in a constantly changing, but nevertheless growing, industry.

We are excited to announce that Martin Perry, a table tennis player for Great Britain (GB Para TT), will provide a key note talk and present the 2024 Awards.

The youngest of four brothers, Martin always had a passion for sport and played a number of sports before being introduced to table tennis in 2011 at a Scottish Disability Sport summer camp, where he met the person who was to have a huge influence on his sporting career, Terry McLernon MBE. Listen to Martin's remarkable story of adversity, sheer grit and triumph,

Here are some inspiring words from Martin:

When you have no hands and only one leg, table tennis is the obvious career path...surely.

Let me ask you a question, do you ever feel that life is unfair, that all the odds are stacked against you and that you can’t go on? Well I’m here to tell you that you can overcome any obstacle in your life or in your career. But why listen to me?

My name is Martin and I play table tennis for Great Britain (GB Para TT), well to be honest I win at Table Tennis. I’m currently ranked in the top 10 in the world for my classification and I have qualified for the Paralympics. But I’m told what makes me inspirational is that I was born with no hands and only one leg. That’s right, I’ve excelled in a sport as demanding as Table Tennis with only one limb. So how hard do those obstacles you face feel now?
