The Events Committee’s primary role is to develop and support the continuous professional development of Case Management and Case Managers in conjunction with CMSUK Standards of Practice. We facilitate and work in partnership with other CMSUK Committees and where possible external organisations to enable case managers to acquire the skills and knowledge to perform to CMSUK Standards of Practice.
The role of a Case Manager is to collaborate with clients by assessing, facilitating, planning and advocating for health and social needs on an individual basis. Successful outcomes cannot be achieved without specialised skills and knowledge. Case Managers need to be aware of current trends and changes within the areas they work. By providing high quality, CPD certified study days, conferences and other educational events for Case Managers and all other associated professionals working within the rehabilitation process the Committee is able not only to improve the caliber of Case Managers working within the industry but also to improve the wider level of awareness of the importance of utilising trained, experienced and governed Case Managers.
Additionally, by providing a conference setting the committee is able to access and encourage interesting and informative service providers to participate in events with exhibition stands and other promotional activities to promote their services to Case Managers which in turn helps keep delegate fees to a very reasonable level.
The committee strives to not only provide educational content and service provider information but to create a comfortable and relaxed environment to promote networking.
