Webinar: The importance of providing adequate skin protection to wheelchair users vulnerable to developing pressure injuries

We are pleased to present this lunch time webinar brought to us by Etac R82, to gain a greater understanding of pressure injuries; the main causes and who is most at risk. Also, an appreciation of how different support surfaces can provide skin protection against pressure injuries.

Presenter: Jo McConnell, Education Manager & OT,  Etac R82

Jo is a highly experienced OT with over 27 year’s of clinical practice. During this time she has worked in paediatrics, posture and mobility within Wheelchair Services, Whizz Kidz Charity and mobility equipment manufacturers. She has outstanding knowledge regarding complex posture and mobility issues and pressure care. From an academic point of view Jo has also lectured at Coventry University and University of West of England. She has also delivered training and seminars at PMG Conference, OT Show, Naidex, Kidz exhibitions and to clinical audiences throughout the UK. In Jo's global education role she has delivered pressure care training to over 200 therapists across Norway with excellent feedback. In addition she has educated clinical teams in Netherlands, Germany and New Zealand.
