Safeguarding Study Day ( Adult and CYP) Level 3 for those working in the Case Management Industry 28th March 2023

Learning Aims: Our learning aims for this course align with the Intercollegiate Document (2018)  and the National Competency Framework ( Univ of Bournemouth ) – and we will during the course ; 

• Consider the  role  and responsibility of us  all and have an overview of legislation and working guidance for:  

• Statutory Services 

• Our own Companies  

• HCPC / SWE / NMC /CQC , 

• Explore how the Mental Capacity Act , Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards  and  Liberty Protection Safeguards enmesh within  Adult Safeguarding,  

• Consider some of the dilemmas specific to the Case Management / Private Therapist role ,  

• Learn from when things go wrong – we will look at some recent  Serious Case Reviews/  Safeguarding Adult Reviews   relevant to our roles,  

• Introduce and then  explore some ‘ newer ’  areas of  concern,   

• Introduce ideas of On line Safety and consider our role here,  

• Consider the necessity to and the ways we can support and manage staff to safeguard others,   

• Ensure we understand the need to look after ourselves,  as well as others 

Meet the presenter: Linda Sayers

Linda Sayers is the founder of Sayers Social Care Consultancy. Linda has extensive practitioner and senior managerial experience in local authorities, education and in the charitable and private sector. Linda is a qualified registered Social Worker, with additional formal qualifications in Learning and Development and post graduate HR Management. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
