Hobbs Rehabilitation: Masterclass in Neuro Technology (MINT)

Hobbs Rehabilitation are pleased to announce the first Masterclass in Neuro Technology (MINT).

The Masterclasses format is aimed at addressing some of the key problems facing the industry and clinicians:

•          Limited engagement of clinicians with technology
•          Inconsistent integration of technology into clinical practice
•          Limited access by patients to therapeutic technologies

This new format will be structured around 90-minute sessions exploring the use of a technology, with patients, led by clinicians.

We are delighted to confirm the list of 15 devices that will be explored in the masterclass workshops on 11^th October.

The final list is made up of robotic, FES, de-weighting and sensor-based rehab systems. To preview the inventory of devices click here, this gives brief information and a link for each item to help you identify those of most interest to you, along with a program for the event.

Please note that the MINT program runs over 1.5 days for the delegates, we would appreciate it if you make arrangements, if possible, to attend the afternoon session on Wednesday and not just for the Masterclasses on Thursday. Day 1 offers several educational, networking opportunities including presentations from eminent speakers and an opportunity for informal contact with all the devices and their clinical specialists. To secure your place please complete the attached application form. On receipt of your application and payment you will be sent a link to enable you to choose your Masterclasses.

On the 11^th of October you will have the opportunity to attend three separate Masterclasses each of 1.5 hours. We have placed the devices into three separate groups: A, B and C. You will be given the opportunity to select your top three choices from each group.  When all delegates have signed up and made their choices we will assign individuals to workshops in each group, with the aim of offering 1st choice in at least one of the groups.

In September we will be sending you pre-course reading and links relating to the three devices you have been allocated, to enable you to familiarise yourself with the basic functions and clinical applications.  This will place you in a great position to fully engage in the process of clinical reasoning on the day.
