20. Level 3 - Safeguarding – Adults and CYP - 26th November 2024

Learning Aims:

• Consider the role and responsibility of us all and gain an overview of current legislation and statutory guidance ( for children and adults) within the realms of
  • Statutory Services
  • Our own Companies
  • HCPC / SWE / NMC /CQC 
• Consider some of the dilemmas specific to the Case Management / Private Therapist / Specialist Care Provider role.
• Learn from when things go wrong – we will look at some recent Serious Case Reviews/ Safeguarding Adult Reviews relevant to our roles.
• Introduce and then explore some ‘ newer ’ areas of concern.
• Introduce ideas of On line Safety and consider our role here.
• Consider the necessity to and the ways we can support and manage staff to safeguard others.
• Ensure we understand the need to look after ourselves, as well as others.

Meet the presenter

Linda Sayers is the founder of Sayers Social Care Consultancy. Linda has extensive practitioner and senior managerial experience in local authorities, education and in the charitable and private sector. Linda is a qualified registered Social Worker, with additional formal qualifications in Learning and Development and post graduate HR Management. She is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
