CMSUK Webinar: 'Independent and Statutory Services – Working Together to get the Best for your Client'

We are pleased to announce that bookings for our next lunch-and-learn webinar are now open. This is the third in our series of webinars which are being offered free of charge to Members (and Pending Members) as part of CMSUK's quest to offer greater access to training and support for members.

'Independent and Statutory Services – Working Together to get the Best for your Client' will be delivered by Anita Reals, Paediatric Occupational Therapy Coordinator/Therapist and Case Manager at Independent Living Solutions Ltd, on Thursday 25th August 2016 at 12:00.

Aims of this session include:

• To highlight the benefits of having team members from both independent and statutory services.
• To demonstrate where services may overlap and how to avoid duplication.
• To outline statutory funding options to maximize client choice and finances.

Short Biography

Anita is an HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist who has specialised in paediatrics since 2003, primarily with children with neuro-developmental disorders. She currently works with children and families as a Case Manager and Occupational Therapist for ILS, as well as being part of our presentations team. Her work includes the assessment and provision of specialist equipment or adaptations at home, facilitating the child’s play and development of their functional skills.

Anita also works as a Specialist paediatric Occupational Therapist, for an independent charity. Her work involves treating children who have a diagnosis of Neurodevelopmental delay, mostly in the form of Cerebral Palsy working in a multi-disciplinary setting using a range of treatment approaches, including Bobath, Sensory Integration and postural management principles.
