Driving or Riding after a catastrophic injury

Aims: To explore and discuss various options available for injured clients who wish to remain independent drivers/riders.  To explore and discuss passenger solutions for high care dependent passengers including children.

What will attendees learn?

  • How the DVLA Medical Branch process and assess information.
  • The part played by the assessment centres in the process.
  • The variety of vehicle/adaptation options that are available for drivers and passengers.

Hopefully the presentation will act as a springboard for discussion and questions and help signpost resources/equipment that are available.

Who is the webinar for?

Any professional who has clients (driver or passenger) who have a requirement for personal transportation.


Meet the Presenter:

Fiona Dennehy trained as a driving instructor in 1998.  In 2007 Fiona commenced work for the Mobility Centres as an Assessor.  Mobility Centres are the service provider to both DVLA Medical Branch and Motability Scheme.  In 2017 Fiona opened The Driving Consultancy to concentrate solely on expert witness work.
