CMSUK Webinar: How to Manage Revalidation with the NMC for Nurse Case Managers

We are pleased to announce that booking for our next lunch-and-learn webinar is now open. This is the third in our 2018 series of webinars which are being offered free of charge to Members (and Pending Members) as part of CMSUK's quest to offer greater access to training and support for members.

Aims of the presentation:

• To gain an understanding of the requirements of the NMC board.
• Explore how to work with other nurse case managers in the industry to achieve the revalidation requirements.

Overview:

• Review the process of revalidation including the forms required and time scales.
• Review Practice hours log.
• Continuing professional development what counts.
• Reflective practice what it is and how to achieve this.
• Feedback what it is and how it can be presented.
• Reminder of the code principles that nurses use to practice.
• Discussion on how Case Managers can work together to complete the revalidation work as part of practice.

Teresa Shaw

Teresa Shaw qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1981. She had a successful career working in the NHS for over 20 years in various key development roles.

Teresa has been a Case Manager for 14 years and was winner of the Case Manager of the Year 2015 at the UK Rehabilitation First Awards and is currently a director of Teresa Shaw Associates Ltd.

Teresa is committed to the development of Case Management within the UK and has visited the CMSA conference to gain an understanding of the international work of case managers.

Teresa is the CMSUK Vice Chair and is an active member of the of the events committee and Together Conference committee.
