CMSUK are pleased to welcome back Calvert Reconnections who will be leading a discussion on the power of outdoor activity to deliver real client benefit in ABI rehabilitation.
The presenters will raise awareness of Calvert Reconnections' Centre opening in the Lake District and its integrated programme of rehabilitation and outdoor activities:
Sean Day: Director of the new Calvert Reconnections Rehabilitation Centre
Sean will introduce the Calvert Trust and its outdoor adventure pedigree; introducing the new Calvert Reconnections Centre!
Claire Appleton: Calvert Reconnections Head of Service
Claire will talk about her aspirations for the service and discuss delivery of tailored clinical programmes of ABI rehabilitation, based around Outdoor Activity.
Rob White: Calvert Reconnections Activity Lead
Rob will share his experience of using outdoor activity to benefit people with disabilities; he will highlight some of the more formal research and anecdotal evidence that outdoor and adventurous activities can bring, noting the significant benefits for people with an ABI.
Bill Braithwaite QC: Personal Injury Barrister of the Year
Bill will give some personal examples of his clients who have benefited from outdoor activity in support of ABI rehabilitaton.
Heather Batey: Neuro OT and Director/Founder of REACH
Heather will lead an interactive discussion with Case Managers about their questions and experience of using outdoor activity with their clients and which clients are likely to benefit most.
