18. WEBINAR - FES Cycling at Home with the RT300 – Your tool for lifelong health - 3rd July 2025

Presentation Aims:

This presentation is designed to inform catastrophic case managers about the availability and benefits of the RT300 for individual use at home. It will cover the evidence base for Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) cycling, with a particular focus on the RT300, and provide a detailed overview of clinical indications and contraindications. By the end of the session, case managers will be equipped to determine whether the RT300 is suitable for their clients and understand how to access it as part of both short-term rehabilitation goals and long-term health management strategies.

What Will Attendees Learn?

Attendees will gain insight into the scientific principles and evidence-based research supporting the use of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) in neurological populations, specifically through the RT300 therapy system. The session will explore patient suitability for both short-term and long-term use, along with the expected outcomes — helping to inform clinical decision-making, prognostic discussions, and financial planning.

How will attendees benefit from the webinar?

Attendees will have a better understanding of how FES cycling is appropriate for their clients, as well as the short and long term impact of FES cycling in the management of symptoms and mitigation of complications to enhance the long-term health of their clients, for which there are often few tools capable of achieving.

Who Is the Webinar For?

The webinar is for catastrophic injury case managers working with clients with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries affecting physical activity and mobility (with or without cognitive involvement).
