CMSUK Newsletter September 2011

The Post Magazine Rehab Awards has been a topic of much discussion around CMSUK this year, as Carole Chantler, our Chair, was rightly awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award.  Below you can see some of the submission made by the board.  Carole was completely unaware of being nominated, despite being a judge for the rest of the awards.  We are very pleased, but not at all surprised that she won.

Among the other awards were QBE European Operations for Rehabilitation Initiative - Insurer, Cath Townley of Corpore won the Case Manager of the Year, HSBC/Swiss Re/Rehab Works won the Rehabilitation Initiative - Provider, Irwin Mitchell were awarded the Rehabilitation Initiative  - Claimant Solicitor, and Chris Douglas of QBE EO for Young Achiever of the Year.  Our congratulations to all of them.

We want to thank Jane Melvin and Kevin Purvis for their contribution to the CMSUK Board.  Jane and Kevin have both now stood down from the board, Jane to concentrate on her research, and Kevin as he is leaving the Case Management industry and moving onto something new.

The Conference is very close now, and we have important news.  The CPD online tool will be launched at the conference.  Please see the news article below regarding the sign up fees for this service.  CMSUK has contributed and are supporting the development of this tool and recommend all members take advantage.

As always we wish to thank those companies which provide their important support
