Everything you need to know about what to expect from the CMSUK 2013 Conference and the news that fees for members will reduce this year!

CMSUK Conference & AGM 'Touching a Nerve'

7th & 8th November 2013
Gatwick Hilton Hotel

Conference Delegates:

CMSUK are proud to announce that for the 2013 Conference Member fees will be reduced. It wouldn’t be a Conference without delegates and CMSUK are delighted that delegate numbers have increased year on year.  Of course more delegates provide greater opportunities for networking so we hope that this year’s reduction in fees for Members will encourage an even higher attendance at this year’s event.

Fees and Booking:

Delegate bookings will go live on the CMSUK website within the next few weeks.  Member early bird rates will be £255 (£275 last year) which includes the 2 days of Conference plus a Dinner Dance ticket.  This represents a discount of £75 off the full price.  Non member equivalent will be at a cost of £375.

All above prices do not include accommodation which will be bookable via our website direct with the hotel at a special CMSUK rate of £89 Bed & Breakfast.

Conference Content:

This year the theme is spinal injuries. To ensure we cover topics suitable for all case managers we are arranging the content of the conference in a different way, by having a multi layered approach. The layers will be flexible to delegates enabling individuals to attend the most suitable topics for their practice.

Topics will include:

  • New innovative ideas on back pain management and spinal cord injuries.
  • Pain Management for back pain
  • Addressing psychological Trauma
  • Keeping up to date with benefits
  • Pitfalls in adapting accommodation the debate
  • Arranging care packages
  • Employment law.
  • What is EMDR

Conference Sponsors:

CMSUK have 28 Exhibition Stand spaces available at this year’s conference and bookings are steadily coming in so expect an interesting and informative Exhibition area at this year’s event.

If you would be interested in Exhibiting at this year’s event please contact Heather Roberts for more details: or 0870 8505821.

Other forms of sponsorship are also available from pack inserts to Break Sponsorship.  To view a full list of promotional opportunities please go to the Events page of the CMSUK website and download everything you should need.

Conference Dinner Dance:

At just £55 per person or £400 for a table of 8 guests, the evening provides a fantastic networking opportunity as well as a chance to relax and enjoy good food, some music and if you are feeling brave, even some dancing!  The evening also incorporates the presentation of the CMSUK Case Manager of the Year Award for 2013 so there is also the opportunity for some good celebrating.

CMSUK Case Manager of the Year Award 2013:

Once again CMSUK will be running the CMSUK Case Manager of the Year Award 2013.  The finalists will be invited to attend the entire Conference event as guests of CMSUK and the ultimate 2013 winner will be presented their Award as part of the Dinner Dance experience.

At the 2012 CMSUK Annual Conference Dinner Dance Niccola Irwin from Harrison Associates was presented with the Case Manager of the Year Award for 2012 for her outstanding work. The other finalists were Emma Merriman of Bush and Co, Pauline Viercant of Argent Rehabilitation, and Selina Wong of HCML.

We really hope to see you all at this year’s event which we hope will be the biggest and best it has ever been.  And yes, we say this every year but each year it does seem to grow and each year we attract great speakers and more companies wishing to make contact with you so don't miss out on this great opportunity.
