CMSUK Research Project
An Investigation to Identify the need for a Standardised, Accredited or Certified
Professional Pathway for Case Managers in the UK

Dear Colleagues
For the past year a research project has been underway, commissioned by CMSUK, to explore the need for an educational pathway for case managers. A big thank you to all who took part in the project questionnaire and focus group.
The project is now completed and we are happy to present the findings in a report compiled by the research team (Dr Edgar Meyer and Harrison Training). As with most research, it provides food for thought and raises many questions. There is a great deal still to be discussed about case managers, their career structure and development.
The CMSUK Board agrees and strongly supports the Standards, Research and Development group in taking forward this work. The next meeting is to discuss how best to disseminate the research findings to relevant stakeholders, and to produce a plan for the next steps in this important work. Watch this space! We hope you are interested in the findings. Please do give us any feedback you may have.

Kind regards
